Columbia University College of Dental Medicine (CDM) and Augma Bone Cement Academy (ABCA) invite you to participate in this exclusive 2-day hands-on, live-surgery bone augmentation course, focused on bone graft cements.
Bone cements constitute a paradigm shift in maxillofacial and dental bone augmentation.
The surgical protocols are less invasive, and don’t require a membrane placement. Thereby, traditional post-operative complications due to graft exposure are completely eliminated.
Participants will learn how to confront a large diversity of bone deficient situations, from simple to complex. Special attention will be given to the parameters for success in the esthetic zone, and how to avoid post-operative complications.
Case evaluation and treatment planning will be reviewed in depth. You will receive a broad overview of the best treatment choices to guarantee the success and predictability of the augmentation procedure in complex cases.
The following clinical applications will be reviewed:
- Socket grafting with intraoral wound dressing
- Crest widening by lateral augmentation
- Augmentation post-cyst removal
- Dehiscence and fenestrations
- Augmentation with immediate implant placement
Participants will learn to:
- Simplify treatments
- Promote the healing process
- Improve the end result
- Significantly diminish complications
- Decrease overall costs
