The patient is a healthy, 23-year-old female. The small cyst was discovered after she had a little pain in area of tooth #15 (4).
Tooth #15 (4) was treated endodontically but the cyst is not resolved and a second endodontic treatment is done 4 months later. During this time the patient experiences some pain and discomfort.
A root resection of tooth #15 (4) is performed with preparation and backfill of the root canal with MTA. The cyst is removed and confirmed as a radicular cyst with histopathology examination. The bone defect is filled with Bond Apatite® (1/2 cc).
4 years follow-up shows good remodeling of the bone and soft tissue healing.
