Secure Sinus Lift Procedure Augma Lift™ & Immediate Implant Placement

The patient is a 70-year-old, nonsmoking female with a sinus bone height of more than 4mm. The treatment plan involves a sinus lift with immediate implant placement using the Augma Lift™ protocol for scenario B. After diagnosing a fracture on tooth #14 (26), we extracted the tooth and immediately grafted the socket with biphasic calcium sulfate to preserve the maximum bone height beneath the sinus. Despite the graft, a five-month follow-up showed that the residual bone height was only 4.2 mm.

Using the Augma Lift™ protocol for scenario B, immediate implant placement is performed together with sinus augmentation. The Schneiderian membrane is carefully protected and kept away from both the surgical instruments and the implant threads. Using Augma Bond Apatite® as the graft material promotes complete bone regeneration around the implant and supports the transformation of the biphasic calcium sulfate into vital new bone. The implant achieves primary stability within the 4.2 mm of residual bone beneath the sinus floor.
