The patient is a 75-year-old female, who came to the office with complaints about the situation in the left maxilla.
The oral exam shows lacking bone around the top, left, canine and first premolar. Advanced periodontal disease around the top, left incisors with gingival inflammation and poor aesthetics. The patient’s hygiene was very poor.
Complimentary exams confirmed the loss of periodontal bone on the left maxilla, and the need for total rehabilitation in the top left site. The patient was nervous and did not want to extract the first molar at this time.
Treatment plan includes extraction of the teeth and roots from #21 (9) to #25 (13). Without opening a flap, placement of 3 immediate implants for an immediate bridge with 5 teeth. Placement of the final Nobel Procera bridge 6 months post-op.
