Implant Removal & Bilateral Zygoma
The patient is a 66 year old, female non smoker. She presented with a case of severe bone loss around failed implants, that served for about 15 years and were recently grouped together with a metal bar in order to support an upper denture. The entire frame was held by implant #16 (3), the other implants were in soft tissue only, the remaining bone was severely atrophied. Two weeks before the procedure the frame was disconnected from implant #16 (3) and fell out. This was done to reduce inflammation in preparation for the surgery.
