The patient is a healthy, 47-year-old women. She came come to the clinic with complaints of pain and mobility in the upper right central incisor. The oral exam shows a 4 mm fistula and a very high degree of mobility. The complementary exams showed that the tooth had a past root canal treatment with an apical cyst. The root was broken and the crown had movement but was kept in place by the gutta percha used in the root canal. The patient did not want to go home without a tooth.
