The patient is a healthy 47-year-old female with a periapical lesion on tooth #22 (10). In 2017 the patient presented with a small periapical lesion and internal resorption. Despite having a treatment plan in place, the patient chose not to undergo treatment. In 2023 she returned with a very large lesion involving buccal and palatal plates, and the bone surrounding tooth #23 (11), which is still vital.
The treatment goal was to treat the lesion, replace tooth #22 , and rehabilitate the area without involving tooth #23 (11).
During the follow up visit 2 years post augmentation, tooth #23 (11) is functioning, vital and saved.
