Palatal impacted tooth extraction management using Augma Bond Apatite®.
The patient is a 49-year-old, female, nonsmoker with low hygiene. The 1st mandibular molar is characterized by the presence of an abscess at the apex of each root. The two cavities communicate through the interradicular septum. The abscess drains via a buccal fistula. Reopening 6 months after augmentation, shows regenerated bone with some hydroxyapatite crystals. Implant placement 6 months post augmentation.
